Welcome to the home of icarus silk. We believe that we have developed the 

first sustainable silk production in North America. Icarus silk is derived from 

the Cecropia moth which is native to North America. I-silk is environmentally sound. 

No chemicals are used on the insects in the production process. Unlike Asian silk, 

I-silk is strictly no kill. Each moth is allowed to emerge from its cocoon, and after 

breeding, is released to improve the natural population.
